Sydney and Eli’s Journey to Parenthood with Kindbody St. Louis
Starting the Journey
“We started treatment at Kindbody last January,” Sydney recalls. This marked the beginning of a hopeful and transformative journey for Sydney and Eli, who were facing combined factor infertility.
The IVF Process
The couple began stimulation (Stims) in April, followed by an egg retrieval on April 28th and a fresh transfer on May 3rd. Their transfer was successful, and Sydney went on to have a healthy pregnancy. “Our transfer was successful and I went on to have a healthy pregnancy with a baby boy!”
Welcoming Rowen
Sydney and Eli welcomed their baby boy, Rowen, on January 12, 2024, almost a year to the date from when they began their fertility treatments. “Rowen was born January 12, 2024 (almost a year to the date that we began our fertility treatments) at 7lbs 9 oz, 20.5 in long.” Their joy and gratitude were immeasurable. “My husband and I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Purdy, Dr. Cooper & everybody at the Swansea location for making our dreams of becoming parents come true!”
A Grateful Family
Now, with a happy and healthy 7-week-old, Sydney and Eli reflect on their journey with immense gratitude. “We now have a happy & healthy 7 week old that we wouldn’t have without them!”
Advice for Others Starting Their Journey
Sydney offers heartfelt advice for those just beginning their family-building process: “Don’t get discouraged & take one day at a time. It isn’t easy, but it is 100% worth it!”
