Abbey Fernandez
Abbey Fernandez is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who brings warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to patient education to her role at Kindbody. Her love for patient education is what first inspired her to become a nurse, and it continues to shape how she cares for patients every day.
After earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College, Abbey became certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC). At Kindbody, Abbey partners with individuals and couples through every step of the fertility process – whether that’s talking through options or creating a personalized treatment plan. She believes that patients need accurate knowledge about their reproductive health to make informed decisions. Patients appreciate her warm approach and the way she takes time to make sure they feel heard, understood, and cared for.
With a strong foundation in women’s health and a passion for helping people grow their families, Abbey ensures every patient receives comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. She is proud to be part of a dedicated team advancing reproductive medicine.
Outside of work, she is passionate about dachshunds, reading, and trying new restaurants or coffee shops in NYC.
Maura Tierney
Maura is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping people grow their families—one step (and sometimes one follicle!) at a time. With over two years of experience in reproductive health and fertility care, she brings not only clinical expertise to every appointment but also a kind heart and a great listening ear.
After earning a Master of Science in Nursing from Pace University, Maura found her calling in fertility medicine. Whether it’s explaining the science behind IVF, cheering on a great ultrasound, or just being there on the tough days, she is all about making the journey feel a little less overwhelming—and a lot more human.
At Kindbody, Maura works closely with patients and the care team to provide fertility evaluations, IUI and IVF coordination, ovulation tracking, and early pregnancy care. She also loves helping patients explore options like egg freezing, LGBTQ+ family building, and PCOS management.
Outside the exam room, you’ll likely find Maura sipping on a strong cup of coffee, listening to a fertility podcast, or running down the West Side Highway.
