This year, Pride Month means even more to us at Kindbody, especially as we witness a reversal of access and rights to care for many LGBTQIA+ members of our community. That’s why we’re so focused on ensuring that this month (and every month) at Kindbody, we aim to open the doors to the conversation on LGBTQ+ family-building, particularly as it relates to access to care for all.

Kindbody’s mission has always been to democratize access to world-class family-building care. Infertility is common and access to care is essential. Various factors such as bias, system navigation challenges, and cultural gaps contribute to disparities in healthcare for marginalized groups – the LGBTQ+ population being no exception.

The fertility rate is at a historic low in the U.S. The World Health Organization reports that one in six people are affected by infertility worldwide. This definition includes LGBTQ+ intended parents who will need assisted reproductive technology or adoption to build their families.

The families we have helped build at Kindbody are the heart and soul of everything we do – they keep us dedicated to our mission. We hope to continue to serve more and more families like these each year. Learn more about some of our beautiful Kindstories below.
