The Kindbody Dallas fertility clinic team is diverse, kind, and committed to compassionate care, following best practices, and earning positive outcomes for our patients.

Meet Dr. Rinku Mehta, the Medical Director of the new Kindbody Dallas fertility clinic.

Dr. Mehta is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) commonly referred to as a “fertility doctor”. She has served the DFW community since 2008 and calls her work and history of helping hundreds of patients to build their families “a privilege”.

With the official opening of Kindbody Dallas, dated for the winter of 2022, we sat down with Dr. Mehta to chat about her connection to Dallas, her philosophy on fertility patient care, as well as some of her favorite resources to share with those who struggle to conceive or worry they may never have a baby.

Dallas, TX is home to Dr. Mehta

In her own words….

“I immigrated to Dallas at age 18 from Mumbai, India. I lived with my family and went to school first at Brookhaven community college and then to University of North Texas. As a kid new to America, away from home, I felt so loved and supported by the counselors and faculty at Brookhaven. Even at my first job as a cashier at Macy’s, I met Texans with big hearts. Although I left Dallas for many years to continue my training, I knew that this was a home I eventually wanted to return to.”

The DFW metroplex has something for everyone. We are diverse, have some excellent public school districts, kids sporting opportunities, amazing food, many opportunities for community involvement and service, state of the art medical care, affordable housing compared to many other parts of the country and friendly people in general.”

Dr. Rinku Mehta’s Dallas Community Connection

“My family is involved with the North Texas food bank, specifically the Hunger Mitao section started by leaders in the Indian community. My high schooler started a Hunger alleviation leadership organization at his school to help increase awareness of hunger in the local community and teach kids to find strategies to help. We are also involved in Akshay Patra which is a charity that provides meals to school children in India as a means to encourage them to attend school where they can be guaranteed at least one square meal in the day. My husband is also very involved with the city of Frisco, especially development of downtown Frisco. One of my favorite festivals is the Frisco Streats festival and the Cottonwood art fair in Richardson.”

Dr. Mehta’s Patient Experience Philosophy

“I see myself as a guide in the patient’s journey towards building their family. As a physician, it is my job to educate, encourage, provide expert care, and treat the patient with empathy.”

Dr. Rinku Mehta is all About the Details

In many of Dr. Mehta’s reviews, her patients mention her attention to detail and how she is always on their side, never giving up on them.

“It is true that I pay excruciating attention to detail and stay very well informed about new research and strategies to improve the chances of having a live birth. Unless treatment is futile, I will talk to other experts and conduct research to find strategies that may be of benefit to my patient. We certainly can’t win them all, but it would not be for the lack of effort. When treatment does become futile, I will also not shy away from saying so. Having real information is very important for a person to be able to make appropriate decisions.”

Recommended Resources for Those Struggling to Conceive

“Some of my go-to resources for patients struggling to conceive are:

Of course, Kindbody is also a wonderful resource, offering infertility and family-building support groups, as well as groups specific to those who are struggling with secondary infertility, and others for those who have experienced miscarriage or pregnancy loss as well as 101 webinars cover treatments and diagnoses, presented by qualified, board-certified medical authorities.”

Advice for Those Struggling to Conceive

“As hard as it is, most people that are able to hang in there, will be successful. Sometimes we may have to use non-traditional strategies, but the key is to hang in there. Know that you are not alone, it is okay to ask for help and support. Your own well being is extremely important.”

Advancements in IVF

In-Vitro fertilization or IVF is one of the most popular treatments for those struggling to conceive. When asked about what advancements and research she is most excited about Dr. Mehta shared,

“I am excited about new research on the horizon for non-invasive testing methods to pick the embryo with the higher potential of resulting in a successful pregnancy and live birth.” (Resource) (Resource

When Should Fertility Patients Seek a Second Opinion?

Kindbody Dallas invites those who have disappointing results or outcomes or have been regarded as a “poor responder” by other providers to consider speaking with Dr. Mehta for a reconsideration of their treatment or approach.

“If a patient is not comfortable with the treatment plan suggested by their physician, it is always okay to obtain a second opinion. I would much prefer that a patient talks to another highly trained and qualified physician rather than seek answers via web searches or social media groups since recommendations from such sources are not tailored to the patient’s individual situation.”
