“Having children seemed like an impossible dream for my wife and I until our first consultation with Kindbody. They immediately made it seem like an attainable goal and laid out the roadmap to get there. We had no idea what the process looked like and they explained every step along the way and provided support and reassurance. Every member of our care team was attentive and knowledgeable. We went through one unsuccessful cycle of IVF and immediately went in for another retrieval followed by a successful transfer with our son who is now a healthy 1 month old baby! We are eternally grateful for the gift of our son, but also our wonderful experience with Kindbody!”

– Kindbody Patient, Rogers Arkansas

This is just one example of Kindbody’s impact, and represents one of the more than 7000  babies that have been born through Kindbody’s care. Each of these “kindbabies” reflects the trust families place in us and the dedication of our team. It is a powerful reminder of the vital work that we do to advance our mission: making fertility care more affordable and accessible for all so that everyone can realize their dream of becoming a parent.

To our valued patients, employer clients, partners, and peers:

Bloomberg plans to publish a podcast about Kindbody this Friday afternoon, the majority of which is recycled content from previously published stories. Since its inception seven years ago, Kindbody has emerged as the most recognized fertility brand in the U.S. We achieved this remarkable growth by addressing fertility healthcare disparities in a way that’s never been done before. Kindbody was founded on the principle of creating affordable and accessible fertility care for everyone. Everything about the Kindbody experience is meant to remove the stress and stigma of fertility treatments for our patients. Our design-forward clinics are warm and inviting with bright yellow walls and a living room, rather than a waiting room. There are no white lab coats, or intimidating medical instruments in plain view. Everything is designed to create an environment where physicians can partner with our patients on their  family-building journeys. Kindbody is the only fertility clinic network that also serves as the benefit provider, an important part of increasing access since the majority of Americans receive their healthcare coverage through their employer. Our unique end-to-end care delivery model allows us to lower cost, provide a superior patient experience, and deliver exceptional clinic outcomes. All of our services and tests are conducted on-site. We have a dedicated team of in-house board-certified (or double board-eligible) reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, geneticists, and gestational surrogacy experts in order to deliver consistent, successful results.

Like many companies pioneering in their field, we have encountered challenges along the way. At no point was patient care ever compromised. Our commitment to the highest standards of  clinical excellence and patient care is unwavering. We stand firmly behind and are proud of our state-of-the-art fertility clinics and IVF laboratories, the integrity of our procedures, and our industry-leading outcomes. We are proud of our world-class clinical team, whose expertise and dedication consistently raise the standard of care at Kindbody and the entire fertility industry.

Bloomberg’s reporting on Kindbody has many inaccuracies. In this letter we will aim to address what has been reported with transparency and candor, which has always been our approach. First, we would like to share improvements we have made, and are making, that will drive sustained growth and excellence for Kindbody’s future.

Our Leadership

Kindbody has evolved quickly, and as with many growing companies, each stage requires different strengths. The leaders who helped build our foundation did tremendous work getting us here, and now, as we step into our next chapter, we’re bringing in proven expertise to accelerate our impact and better serve our patients and employer clients.

I (David Stern) joined as CEO in July 2025 bringing more than three decades of fertility and women’s health expertise to Kindbody’s mission of expanding access to care. Prior to Kindbody, I served as Chief Executive Officer of Boston IVF for five years, leading one of the nation’s largest and most respected fertility networks.

In September, Brian Miller, PhD joined as Chief Operating Officer. Brian brings deep experience in senior leadership, fertility practice operations, business development and growth strategies, medical affairs, and patient experience. Brian is dedicated to optimizing our clinics and elevating the experience for every patient and employer we serve.

Our Providers

Kindbody is honored to have board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, led by our industry recognized Chief Medical Officers: Lynn Westphal, MD; Amber Cooper, MD; and Roohi Jeelani, MD.  These renowned physicians collaborate closely with our exceptional team of embryologists and lab scientists, led by Chief Scientific Officer Jason Barritt PhD and Manuel Viotti PhD. Every member of our clinical team exercises independent medical judgment, making treatment recommendations based solely on scientific evidence and each patient’s unique medical history and needs. Our primary focus is to ensure patients have a safe and successful experience that supports them throughout the process. Patient care and maximizing the chances of patient success are paramount – not profit.

Clinical Excellence, Patient Care, and Outcomes

Kindbody’s success rates, as reported by the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), the leading professional organization dedicated to advancing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in the United States, are above the national average. Earlier this year SART awarded GOLD recognition to Kindbody San Francisco, Kindbody Los Angeles, and Kindbody Silicon Valley for their outstanding work in improving pregnancy and neonatal outcomes, based on their finalized 2022 data. Receiving GOLD recognition from SART is a significant achievement, reflecting a clinic’s commitment to safety, ethical standards, and success in fertility treatments. It assures patients that they are in the hands of a team dedicated to providing the highest standards of care while prioritizing their health and the well-being of their future babies. More than 7000 babies have been born through Kindbody’s care. This is a testament to our excellent clinicians, technology, and approach to expanding access to fertility care.

Lab Safety

Kindbody has always maintained the highest standards of patient care, clinical excellence, and laboratory safety and we are proud of our track record of having one of the lowest incident rates in the country. We  invest in technology intentionally to provide our patients with an exceptional experience and the best outcomes. Our investments in technology include the electronic witnessing system RI Witness which helps to mitigate incidents in the lab. Today all Kindbody clinics use RI Witness technology, whereas only 25% of clinics industry wide are enhanced with this important technology. We also employ double witnessing in all of our labs, which means that either two embryologists or one senior embryologist in concert with RI Witness technology verify lab processes. We prioritize patient care – opening each clinic with sufficient medical, laboratory, and administrative staff to serve our respective patient population and achieve superior success outcomes.

Financial Health

After several years of double-digit revenue growth, Kindbody is focused on improving our operational efficiencies to deliver sustainable profitability at all of our clinics. Kindbody has made significant improvements to streamline patient billing and reimbursement processes and improve patient communications. We have expanded our financial team with new benefits management, financial navigation, billing, and fertility healthcare leaders and built a dedicated team of 25 customer experience agents to make sure every patient can easily reach a live person. The company has also made major upgrades to our billing process. We have an internal team working directly with patients to review bills, ensure accuracy, and resolve issues quickly.

In summary, we stand firmly and proudly alongside our doctors, embryologists, clinical teams, and the entire Kindbody organization, united by a steadfast commitment to making healthcare better for everyone we serve.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you —our patients, employer clients, team members, investors, and partners —for your continued trust and support. Your shared belief for our mission motivates us everyday and reminds us of the vital work that we do. Together, we will keep building a future where everyone who dreams of becoming a parent has the opportunity to do so.
