The Beginning of Our Journey
“Where to begin? After nearly a year of trying in 2019, I knew something was wrong. I found Kindbody through a social media recommendation (Hi Sarah! 👋) and immediately booked an assessment. We discovered I was likely anovulatory and my husband had a rare male factor condition. We began with IUI in January 2020 but after 2 failures with inadequate stances, we moved to IVF. Thennnnn Covid hit 🙄 causing some major delays.”
From IUI to IVF
“Dr. Seungdamrong had been advocating for me since day 1. The 1st retrieval gave us 3 normal embryos. But alas we had to cancel 3 attempts and transferring bc my uterine lining was not responding well. We finally transferred that September but I unfortunately had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks.”
“We decided to go for a 2nd retrieval and took time to prep. Our March 2021 retrieval gave 4 normal embryos. During that cycle we also used the stimulation to transfer a frozen embryo but it unfortunately did not stick. We moved forward and transferred again May 2021. This pregnancy continued and ended on dramatic fashion. My hCG went up, down, up…with no visuals on an ultrasound. I had emergency surgery for a presumed ectopic which turned out not to be. After this I took time to myself.”
Taking Time and a Fresh Start / The Miracle Baby’s Arrival
“I started medications for my next transfer on Valentine’s Day, 2/14/22, the day my last miscarriage would have been due. This time we adjusted my protocol even more. No answers as to what or why it worked, but my boy Kyler is here. He arrived in October of 2022 and this life is surreal. Reflection and Gratitude
“Was this journey easy? No. Was it worth it? Yes. Did I learn a lot about myself and others through it? Absolutely. And Kindbody held my hand the whole way through. I can honestly say I miss seeing my “besties” regularly including Dr. Seungdamrong, sonographer Amanda, and nurse Kate. They were my dream team that are forever in my heart.”
