The first step.

A Fertility Assessment is a way to learn more about your fertility and your options. It includes a 1:1 consultation, followed by fertility hormone testing, ultrasound, and a personalized plan for your next steps.

What's included

Fertility Assessments are covered by most major insurance plans. If you don't have coverage, the out-of-pocket cost for the initial consultation is $300 (followed by lab tests which are additional and billed separately). The assessment process is outlined below.

Step One

Initial consultation

During this consultation, you will meet at length with a fertility specialist to discuss fertility fundamentals and make a plan for your personal family-building journey. Your age, lifestyle, medical history, and genetic background are all taken into account by our fertility specialists when creating a personalized plan.

Step Two

A blood test for fertility-related hormones

Hormones involved in the ovulation process can be measured to provide a better sense of your current ovarian reserve. The Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH), which is released by your eggs as they grow, is one of the most reliable measures of your ovarian reserve. Your levels of AMH levels can be measured through a simple blood test.

Step Three

An ultrasound for the follicles on your ovaries

Follicles are small bumps on your ovaries that contain the eggs released every cycle during menstruation. The number of follicles detected can indicate the number of eggs available in a given month.

Step Four

A personalized plan for your next steps

You will have a follow up 1:1 meeting with one of our fertility specialists to discuss your results and your family planning goals. The specialist will work with you to come up with a personalized plan that works for you.
