SCHEDULENow is the best time to learn about your fertility
The reality is, you’re never too young (or too old) to learn more about your body, your fertility, and better understand where things stand. A great first step is scheduling your virtual fertility assessment.
Age matters.
When it comes to fertility, the most important thing to think about is our age.
It's all about the eggs.
We are born with all the eggs we’re ever going to have – about 2 million. By the time we reach our first period, we’re already down to 300,000-400,000 eggs (totally unfair, we know). From there – whether we’re on birth control and actually bleed or not – we lose up to 1,000 eggs every month.
Quality is just as important as quantity.
As we get older, the quantity of our eggs declines, but the quality declines too. Poor egg quality could result in a higher rate of miscarriage or having a child with a genetic abnormality.
Knowledge is power.
Doctors typically point to 35 as the age at which fertility declines. But, this isn’t just a switch that turns off one day. As we age, our eggs age with us. In addition, 1 in 20 women experiences premature low ovarian reserve under the age of 35.
After your virtual fertility consultation with lab work, you will have a clear picture of where your fertility stands today.
Now is the perfect time to get started.
