Paths to Conception
The truth is, getting pregnant isn’t always easy. 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting or stating pregnant. This number increases to 1 in 3 after the age of 35. The good news is, reproductive healthcare can significantly improve your chances of conception. Learn more about IVF with Kindbody.
Timed Intercourse
Did you know we are only fertile for 5 days every month? Our first step will be to help you try to conceive naturally by setting the stage for success using ultrasound and blood work monitoring (or even a home ovulation predictor kit) to properly time and engage in sexual intercourse.
Oral medications like Clomid
Clomid works by making the body think that your estrogen levels are lower than they are, increasing the amount of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) in the blood. Higher levels of FSH stimulate the ovary to produce an egg follicle, or multiple follicles, that will develop and be released during ovulation. High levels of LH stimulate ovulation. Consult with one of our physicians to learn more.
IUI
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a fertility treatment involving artificial insemination where sperm that have been washed and concentrated are placed directly into the uterus around the time your ovary releases one or more eggs to be fertilized. Learn more about your treatment options here.
IVF
In-Vitro Fertilization is a process that uses a combination of medicines and surgical procedures to help sperm fertilize an egg, and help the fertilized egg, or embryo, implant the uterus. It’s a very quick and simple process that doesn’t require an anesthetic. Two weeks following the embryo transfer, a blood test is taken to determine if the procedure resulted in a pregnancy.
