Vision and Mission, CEO
Gina is a seasoned entrepreneur and thought leader bringing over 20 years of experience and innovation to the digital healthcare space. She has a proven track record of building new companies from the ground up and a long history of spotting and capitalizing on market trends. She served as the Founder & CEO of Progyny, the first end-to-end fertility benefits provider (backed by Kleiner Perkins and TPG) and the Founder & CEO of Fertility Authority, a leading suite of sites providing financing and support for IVF and egg freezing patients. She has a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
President
Annbeth Eschbach was previously the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Exhale Enterprises, an entrepreneurial, seasoned brand and business builder that navigated the birth, growth, and successful sale of a unique wellbeing brand that revolutionized the spa and fitness industry. In 2003, Annbeth brought Exhale to market, a new concept that addresses mind + body, through spa + fitness. She built a national brand while weathering a recession, and has 16 years of experience with private equity, debt, leadership, driving growth, brand building, real estate development, operationalizing strategies and building roadmaps and innovation. In 2017, she sold the business to Hyatt Hotels and continued to lead the organization under new ownership.
Chief Financial Officer
Debbie Markowitz has 20 years of experience providing the visionary and pragmatic leadership to drive companies to the next level of success. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Exhale Enterprises where she created and executed strategies that enabled the company to scale globally, culminating in the Company’s sale to Hyatt Corporation. Debbie also held senior financial positions at Crunch and Equinox. She began her career at Bear Stearns in investment banking after receiving her BS from the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School.
Chief Medical Officer
Lynn Marie Westphal, M.D., FACOG, graduated summa cum laude from Lawrence University, earned her M.D. degree at Stanford University, and did her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA and Stanford University. She did a fellowship in molecular biology at Stanford University and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at UCSF. Dr. Westphal joined the full-time faculty at Stanford University in 1998 and was a Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Director of the Fertility Preservation Program, Director of the Third Party Reproduction Program, and Director of the REI Fellowship. Her interest in fertility preservation for cancer survivors led her to set up one of the first oocyte cryopreservation programs in the country. She has held numerous national leadership positions and was the President of the Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine from 2008-2009. She was the Director of Women’s Health at Stanford from 2005-2012. In 2012, she co-founded the Stanford Center for Health Research on Women and Sex Differences in Medicine (WSDM) and served as co-director of the program for two years.
Founding Physician
Dr. Sasan is a renowned obstetrician-gynecologist in New York and passionate about reinventing women’s health. She is rated one of NY Times Top Doctors in 2016 and 2017. She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and has been practicing and delivering clinical excellence for 12 years.
REI
Hyacinth Nicole Browne, MD is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist. She majored in Chemistry at Dartmouth College and graduated cum laude. She graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in 2002, and she completed her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Browne specializes in compassionate and personalized infertility care and she is devoted to helping couples achieve their dreams of having a family.
She has authored numerous publications and is the recipient of various awards in medicine, research, and academics. Her areas of expertise include: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, third party reproduction (egg donation and surrogacy), recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, male infertility and fertility preservation.
Product and Tech
Joanne is a proven leader of new product development, growing product and engineering teams, designing new products and their go-to-market strategies, as well as closing strategic partnerships. She led product teams at Flatiron Health, recently acquired by Roche for $2B. There she was responsible for building clinical decision-making, value-based care, and patient-facing tools. Previously, she worked at Google on both existing and brand new B2B products, at Bridgewater Associates managing research products, and as an Acumen Fellow at an agriculture tech startup in Nairobi. She was also the founder of a medical tourism company, Nightingale. Joanne received a BA from Dartmouth College.
Legal and Business Affairs
Shilpa combines practicality and ingenuity in her approach to business and legal affairs.
With a unique background of representing health systems and hospitals, to serving in-house at a health plan and subsequently a health tech company, Shilpa's broad perspective derived from each industry player is relied upon to generate holistic yet strategic outcomes. She previously worked at Quartet Health and Oscar Insurance Corporation. Prior to going in-house, she worked in the healthcare practices of Foley & Lardner, LLP and Garfunkel Wild, PC. She received her BA from Tufts University and her JD from Brooklyn Law School.
Marketing
Rebecca has nearly 10 years of experience building and marketing early stage companies in the fertility, genetics, and healthcare sectors. Most recently, she was a founding member and marketing director of GenePeeks, a preconception screening company providing genetic insights to fertility patients and their REIs. She led the go-to-market plan for multiple product launches, managed all brand assets, and performed extensive qualitative and quantitative research. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, with a concentration in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s Studies.
Patient Navigator
Hina Ahmed has 12+ years of experience in reproductive medicine. She has supported patients in all aspects of fertility diagnosis, assessment and treatment, and is highly skilled in performing ultrasound, IUI, endometrial biopsies, saline sonograms, HSG, and many other fertility related procedures. She has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Andrology and Embryology from EVMS (The Jones Institute). She has deep experience in all aspects of growing and managing clinical operations at fertility practices.
Client Experience
Arielle Mortimer is an operations professional with a degree in Supply Chain & Logistics. Her experience extends from large, omni-channel e-commerce brands, such as Jet.com and Groupon, to large-scale event operations for mud runs and music festivals, to most recently being COO at a sports supplements startup, Revere. Her experience is centered around building teams, launching & scaling brands' experiences and cultivating a network of suppliers.
Operations and Real Estate
Jeannette is an experienced project and operations manager. She previously worked at One Medical where she spent over 10 years growing the startup to a 1200+ person company. Her primary focus is in process innovation, strategic operations, patient experience, and new market/office launch. She received her BA in Psychology and Spanish from the University of San Francisco.
Principal Engineer
Sarah is a seasoned engineer and data scientist. She most recently worked at Slice as the director of engineering working on data engineering, API engineering, and iOS engineering and managing a team that focused on back-end engineering and partnerships with Google and Facebook. Before that, she worked as a data and iOS engineer at Paperless Post. She also served as a research analyst for the Brattle Group and was a Lab for Economic Applications and Policy (LEAP) fellow at Harvard University under Raj Chetty. Sarah received her BS from Caltech in environmental engineering.
Senior Software Engineer
Vanessa is a software engineer with experience building web applications across a variety of industries. Her most recent work includes a focus on back-end engineering at Slice for a partnership with Google. She has also built front-end applications and APIs for BeenVerified and worked as a full-stack engineer at MedText. Vanessa received her BA in biochemistry from New York University and transitioned to a career in tech after attending the Flatiron School.
Patient Navigator
Zaira is an experienced medical assistant with 10 years of OB/GYN experience. She has worked in various locations, including Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts and Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. She is motivated by empowering women by helping women take control of their fertility and their futures.
Patient Navigator
Alenda is an experienced Administrative Assistant with extensive experience in the field of primary care. She served as the Inventory Coordinator and Women's Health Navigator at One Medical for 6 years, and a Programming Operations Coordinator at the Tribeca Film Festival before that. She has a BA in Anthropology and Women's Studies from the University of Maryland.
Clinical Quality Advisor
Jacques Cohen is a renowned embryologist and laboratory director. He is one of the founders of Reprogenetics and the Scientific Director of IVF-online. He was an embryologist at Bourn Hall Clinic, the world’s first IVF clinic. He has authored more than 200 publications and several textbooks, and has developed novel techniques used in IVF laboratories around the world. He is the senior editor of Reproductive Biomedicine Online and the North-American editor of Zygote. He was the founder of Alpha – Scientists in Reproductive Medicine and one of the founders of the Preimplantation Genetics Diagnosis International Society.
